A Night For Which My Heart Still Remembers

I remember,
every corner of the streets
we used to walk together
holding hands,
where the loveliest colors
are ever painted
within your smile.

I remember,
the rain which elucidates
the resemblance of truth
and of love,
and all of my attention
is drawn to wondering,
how long will you stay
by my side.

I remember,
how your sweet lips invite;
our first kiss defines
every moment for which
I always realize that I am safe
whenever you are
close to me.

I remember,
those romantic nights
when your body lay
next to mine,
and the moon captivated
our souls, to descry
every beautiful scenery
of a once paradise;
then we talked
about the future.

But a night for which
my heart still remembers,
is when you looked me
in the eyes,
and said the first...

'I LOVE YOU'

A Lover's Promise (Haiku)

Hundred rivers dry;
my love will remain unchanged,
FOREVER is ours.

Memories (Haiku)

Beautiful sunsets,
make me reminisce the past;
footprints in the sand.

Kryptonite

Why is this night different
from every other night?
Is it because you are now
here lying in my arms?
The mirage of you conveys beauty
which I have longed for,
you did make me weak
that moment you walked through that door,
and I thought you were not coming back.
The wind serenades us,
trying to elude and forget
the war we had,
leaving every tearful fight,
nonsense arguments,
never-ending quarrels
for the paradise, we yet to have.
I do love you, and I am so sorry,
now I have in my mind
that for every Superman
there is always his kryptonite.

Together

"Hold my hand, never let go.
Be it tiring,
be it painful
still, hold me tight.
Draw me closer to our dreams,
sleep to every moment I'm awake,
color my life with rainbows
and kiss me ---
kiss me like there's no tomorrow.
Touch my nose with yours,
fill these gaps of my fingers,
sing me the melody I so long to hear
and together ---
together we'll stand from the edge of forever,
together we'll walk through the shores,
together we'll sail the ocean upon all the odds
and right now, right there
love me ---
love me like you never did", she said.

t(I)(Me)

Cold, unfold
with just a second
I taught myself to crawl,

Pure, uncured
with just a minute
I learnt from every war,

Tears, unshared
with just an hour
I forgave, but never forgiven,

Found, unsound
with just a day
I appreciated life like rain.

Pluma't Papel (Tula Handog Para Sa Ating Pambansang Bayani, Dr. Jose Rizal)

Sakdal-lungkot ang mga anak Mo, Inang Bayan;
Sinakop na, pinaslang pa'ng mumunti Mong katarungan.
Humiyaw Ka! Hanggang sa rurok ng sukbo't hinanakit—
At sa pagbubukang-liwayway, pag-asa sana'y Iyong makamit:

Utak ang puhunan sa di-maarok na mga pag-alsa, kahapon;

Sana maya't maya'y lilipad ka rin muli sa abang kalawakan;
Humiyaw Ka!

i[F] yo[U] [C]an't find a [K]ey for [HATRED].

you are [S]uch a cryptic [E]y[E]

of once m[I]sery, of once truth,

[M]y self[I][S]h devotion[S] for love,

[Y][O][U] made me swallowed.

Believe me, [I] lied to myself

o[N]ly wh[E]n I can s[E]e you, or hear,

hate me now, for I'm not a [D]evil

beyond everybody's borders.

But if [Y][O][U] can't find a key for hatred,

then shut your mouth and kiss me...

The Wake Up Call (Haiku)

The dawn of a spring
my heart always hunts the sun,
when I hear your voice.

Door

I opened the door,
I let you in.
I showed you the real me,
I whispered all my secrets.
I flew with you,
I fell from the skies, alone.
I was mistaken,
I thought we're the best of friends.
I opened again the door,
I let you in.

Territory

My only undying love,
forever will hold you near
upon your hardest battle,
shall embrace your fears
and on your greatest fall,
shall bestow you courage;
for sweet loving heart,
indeed, you are my territory.

My eyes shall borrow tears
for every second you depart,
for you are my territory;
place I could forget the scars
I will defend you from wraths
through this world may reveal
and I shall not leave you behind
even time comes I would fail.

Only Lonely People Write Poetry

Laments of sadness
in the middle of serene nights,
fragmented hearts
wrangle scrambled minds;
shadowed mistakes, open wounds,
profound mysteries of once reality,
myriad eyes failed to perceive
the intrinsic meaning of a poetry;
arbitrary decisions can lead
loud confusions to imprint,
but an ink of a poet's pen
evokes concealed feelings.

She Is My Poetry

I write through the words I could not speak,
for every teardrop, lying on her lonely lips;
she is my sunset before night comes awake,
she is my poetry, in my dreams, when I sleep.

I write on the silence embraced by the night,
for every hope, foresee but strength to move;
I cast myself, away from the shadows of life,
she is my poetry, in my eyes, when I love.

I write those heartaches she tried to seclude,
for every doubt, which ever maimed her feet;
she is a one perfect love story to be told,
she is my poetry, in my grave, on my death.

Valley of Love

      Lost,
with thy stranger in this valley of love;
we know nothing when it started
      and where the edge will be found.

      Entrapped,
from thy mem’ries, but we’ve already escaped;
we hold each other’s heart and mind
      to consume the eterne time,
      with this intimacy we couldn’t e’er forget.

      Wand’ring,
with thy stanger who changed my plans;
and now, if the world seems to blur,
      I’d rather to behoove thy loving arms.

      Trials,
sometimes could lead us to separate the walk;
but in fine of ev’ry misunderstanding,
      we could still foresee those chances
      to meet our hearts and minds at the same road.

      Lessons,
as we crossed thy rivers and climbed thy peaks;
and tears, and smiles defined ev’ry chapter
      where this valley that we would take.

      Estranging,
thyselves away from the woods, full of dangers;
thine eyes, was once puzzled,
      becometh our ways to be unknown:
      but still we promised, no promises shall be withered.

      Forever,
might be benighted, thus, ne’er enough;
as long as we stand still
      with thy hearts and thy minds,
        we’d be together walking through this valley of love.
